Back from LLS 2025! I should post some pictures, but I did post several to both Facebook and Instagram, so if you follow my links there, you’ve seen all the best pictures already. We had SUCH a blast! What a lovely end to such a long-running, wonderful con for readers and writers alike. It will be missed, but I have no doubt Stella will bring it back in some form or fashion when the world settles a little.
Until then, I’m still deciding what to do next. I’ve updated my bookshelf with my latest books. They populated to the bottom of the page, so if you don’t see them, scroll all the way down. The Crypt-Kicker Six, Warped Pages: Lorekeeper Book Two, and Heart of Snow are on there – I promise! So if you picked up my business card at LLS, you can get my latest books there, as promised!
I do have feelers out to a few cons coming up next year. No word yet, so I’m keeping them on the QT. I’m just a little guy in a big publishing world, so I’m always hesitant to put my name out there, but I’m trying to be better about that. I have seventeen books out now – SEVENTEEN – and that’s not nothing. I can hold my head up. I’ve been writing since 2004, publishing since 2009 (we’re not talking about that little dry spell; if Harper Lee can do it, so can I), and publishing steadily again since 2016 or 2017. I forget which.
I’m not a flash in the pan. I may not be a big name, but I’m putting in the work. So I’ll put my name in the hat for some of these cons and see what happens.
There’s one I’m really hoping for, but because I’m really hoping for it, I’m keeping it super-silent. I’m superstitious, as is any writer, so I daren’t speak its name. If I’m accepted, I’ll shout it from the rooftops. It would be a dream come true.
Oh… and my beloved sister took a joke I made and talked me into an anthology. So there’s that. Heh. So now I’m writing a Headless Horseman story for Halloween.
