I have been S-L-O-W slow this past month or so. I’ve gotten words, but few and far between. Part of it is winter, of course. It’s a season of rest. But it’s usually summer that gets me down, so I’m not sure why I’m having so much trouble this winter.
All that to say I’m still working on the bears. I’m tempted to put them aside, since that’s a December book and it’s… ahem… January, but if I put it off now, I’ll feel dumb publishing it even later in the year. Hm.
But I have a sweet, dangerous thriller on the boil, too, and it’s calling my name. It’s a thriller AND it’s Reverse Harem, and I love it. I love the bears, too, but I’ve been working on them for so long, and I want to do something else. Waaaaah! Writer problems!
In all, I have made forward progress, and I really need to finish this book. It’s already 100,000 words, and I still have probably 10-15,000 to go. I keep thinking I’ll tip over and get to writing like a demon, like I usually do when The End is in sight. One of these days.
Until then, discipline. Ugh, gross. The D word. But we gotta.
And we gotta get moving! Faster, faster! I’ve signed up for Literary Love Savannah again this year, and I’m doing more panels/parties/events than ever before, and I want more new books to show off.
So mush, husky, mush! Get moving! Head down, plow ahead!
