With Purgatory Place published, I struggled briefly to figure out what to work on next. I even thinned out the WIP folder to ideas that actually had legs. I didn’t delete anything, but I did put the less likely ones in an archive folder to get them out of the way so I could focus on the more likely ones.
That left me with over a dozen possibilities to work on. I wrote them each down on scraps of paper, folded them up, and put them in a jar to pick blind. I didn’t pick one I expected. I tried to work on that one for a while but didn’t get far.
So now, I’m working on the werebadgers. They’re fun, even though I don’t know how long the book will be. I know where they’re going, which is more important. I know what happens. I just don’t know how much steamy times will happen between now and then. Ha!
My beloved sister, Joely Sue Burkhart, and I are writing almost every night, though, so it’s only a matter of time before I have another book for you. This time, with WEREBADGERS.
In SPACE.
I can’t wait!
